The US Postal Services is replacing 400 mailboxes across the nation with these fabulouso new R2D2 mailboxes.
I don’t have any mail to send because I do it all electronically, but I think i just might mail out my Christmas cards a little early this year.
According to this WashingtonPost.com article, there is one at:
“On Wednesday, the bizarro mailbox at King and Pitt streets in Old Town Alexandria was the subject of much curiosity and just as much confusion.”
If you find any others, let me know so I can start mailing.
All of this is probably to distract people from the price of stamps going up to $0.41 on May 15th.
