From Google Video, this is one of those neat things. I can’t imagine even think about doing something like this even if I just “had nothing better to do”. They put some sort of black sheet over a speaker, sprinkled salt on it, and watched the salt “settle” into patterns as the frequency went up. Pretty neat… Cool Salt.
This second one is about a soldier in Iraq who has been taking photos of some of the “Amazing Mad Max Vehicles” he has seen. At first glance, I thought they were Iraqi vehicles, but they are in fact vehicles that the civilian contractors are using.
