IT STARTS TODAY!

WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup.

By the way… did I mention… WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup. WorldCup.

Now that I’ve got that out of my system

I’m going to TRY and keep an updated goings on for this 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I’ll do my best to preview the day’s games and recap those from the previous day and include any highlights I can (if they don’t get YouTube pulled within 5mins…).

Overall World Cup TV & Streaming Info

The ESPN family will have ALL of the games in English across their channels ABC, ESPN, & ESPN2. They will also be streaming games on their WatchESPN app (Android & iPhone) and website (espn3.com). Annoyingly, you will have to authenticate via cable provider (your cable package must include ESPN already) to watch online. On the positive side they will offer some simulcast views online like their “tactical” above the field view which is great for us weirdos who like to analyze things.

Univision will be carrying all the Spanish broadcasts across their channels Univision, UniMas, Univision Deportes, and Galavision. They will be streaming the games for free (no authentication?) up until the Quarterfinals via their website (univision) and mobile apps (Android & iPhone).

Make sure you checkout Lifehacker’s guide to watching online. They have a more complete listing of sources and *ahem* how to get them if you’re not in that country. Make sure to read through the comments for more options. Check it out here “How to Stream the 2014 World Cup“.

TODAY’s GAMES

Brazil vs Croatia

When: 4 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. local
Where: Arena Corinthians, São Paulo, Brazil
TV: ESPN (English), Univision and ESPN Deportes (Spanish)
Online: ESPN3 (U.S.)

Brazil, hands down, is the favorite to win this in my opinion. They’ve got a great team, they are playing well together, they are in front of their home crowd. The ONLY thing that could derail them is maybe the pressure of having all of that on their shoulders… but I doubt that.

Prediction? Brazil is just too much for Croatia. If Brazil gets a goal or two early, this could get ugly.
