Be prepared, this post is all over the place…

First up, this has to be the coolest job EVER. High Voltage Cable Inspector. “There’s only three things I’ve ever been afraid of: electricity, heights, and women.”

Harvard students demonstrate how not to learn a language. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Having a degree no matter WHAT school you’re from does not automagically make you smart. The guys got to travel abroad to learn Spanish. So where did they go? Catalonia. Where the language is… Catalan, not Spanish.

And, I always have to put at least one dummy out there… (Did he go to Harvard?)

And speaking of dummies… TG Daily says that IBM says that 50% of the Fortune 100 companies use Lotus Notes. WHAT?!? Notes is probably the biggest pain in the arse piece of crap “productivity” software I have EVER seen. It looks like it was created for Windows 3.1 and hasn’t moved forward since. The most OBTUSE piece of software I have ever seen at a big company. I worked for a while at one of these “big” firms. And the reason I was told as to why they would use such crap is for security. “No one has ever broken into Notes before”. Yeah, because no one uses it. Kinda like Macs don’t suffer from viruses. That software was awful, and to see that all these big firms are using it… thats where all the bailout money went (80% of banks use it). Ugh.
