I sound like a broken record… NO YOUNG PLAYER with any aspiration of playing abroad should sign a long term contract with MLS. You are essentially STUCK in MLS until they decide like transferring you. Here is Kenny Cooper, a former Manchester United youth player, fringe US National teamer, star for FC Dallas, with great size, speed, and skill. Kind of a tweener in my book as he’s the size of a #11 striker, but the mentality of a #9 setup forward. He’s gotten several offers recently (he’s been on fire so far this year in MLS), notably from Rosenberg in Norway and Cardiff City in the England. The dollars being floated around for his transfer are about $3.5million.
