The big game against Chivas (Mexico) is tomorrow night on Fox Soccer Channel (ch 242 on Cox Digital Cable Fairfax) at 8pm. DONT MISS IT!!!! Watch on TV if you can’t get to the stadium. Goff says the team is expecting between 22-25k, of that I would say at *least* half will be rooting for Chivas.

Another update from Goff here. He says:

Fred is on his way. A DCU rep has met him in Latin America and will accompany him to Washington. Barring last-minute complications, he should be at RFK on Thursday night (not to play, but to meet and greet his new teammates).

Also that Troy Perkins is ready to play.

Also, DC United officially signs Kasali Yinka Casal. Casal comes from the Fulham FC reserve team where he was *very* highly regarded and many over there were quite surprised that he came “across the pond” to the US. My 2 cents is that the current coach likes MLS players, where he has gotten Brian McBride and Carlos Bocanegra who are regular starters for him and also just picked up Clint Dempsey who will surely be a good signing for them. So he figures that MLS is a better training ground that the English reserve divisions and sent the kid over here for some work. Now if he ends up playing in our Reserve system for the year, then it was a loss for him and for Fulham. But if he can get some significant 1st team minutes then its a win for both. Although it wasn’t announce, it wouldn’t surprise me if there is some sort of clause where Fulham gets a piece of the transfer fee if DC sells him later on.
