OK, so I’m a couple of weeks late, but I figured it is good to get the word out. In case you don’t know, Bobby Boswell is starting his third year as a defender for DC United. He’s pretty good and has even been called up to the national team. He got some attention his rookie year for man-marking Didier Drogba when Chelsea came to visit. Anyway, he has become known as something of a personality including being named as Virginia’s rep for Cosmopolitan’s Bachelor of the Year search.
DC seems to be one of the few teams with personality as guys like Bobby Boswell, Ben Olsen (frequent guest of Elliot in the Morning), and Rod Dyachenko, along with guys no longer here like Nick Rimando, Freddy Adu, and Alecko Eskandarian. New Brazilian pickup Luciano Emelio has fit right in, apparently singing “Its in the Net!” everytime he scores, imitating DC United TV announcer Dave Johnson.
