I found out via Goff’s blog as the Arsenal vs Birmingham City match wasn’t on FSC this weekend. Martin Taylor came in airborne and studs up against da Silva’s extended leg and completely snapped the lower leg. From the photos (I haven’t found video yet) it looks like an obscenely late and vicious challenge. I don’t think da Silva will ever play soccer again, barring some miracle recorvery.
Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger says “This guy should never play football again”.
